Cantuccini, or more commonly called biscotti, are a twice (bi) baked (cotti) cookie originally baked to travel with the Roman legions on long campaigns without spoiling. Traditionally they came in only 2 varieties: plain and with almonds. In later centuries, the types were expanded to include other types of nuts, berries and spices.
Our cantuccini continue and expand the later tradition, modern combinations such as apple-cinnamon, cherries, pistachio and dark chocolate.
You’ve tried the larger, dried sponge cake biscotti at the local coffee shop, now try them as they were originally made in Tuscany. The smaller, crunchy cantuccini are stuffed with nuts, fruit or chocolate chips. They are perfect for eating by themselves or dunking in coffee, liqueurs or even wine.
Our cantuccini are baked by the Valentino Dolciaria bakery in the province of Molise. They use traditional Italian methods and ingredients to produce cantuccini you will love from first bite to last dunk.
